It's immensely frustrating but running'll still be there when you're better.

Thats a shame. I see you as my online running buddy as we started the same time. Hope you get well soon and back to full strength.

That’s very kind thank you. What week and run are you upto? I just hope it doesn’t set me too far backwards

Off to do run 2 of week 4 soon. Get well soon, you'll be back to it before you know it.

That’s the last run I did I am hoping to be back at the weekend but will have to see. Good luck and pace yourself

Very few people finish in nine weeks. You can always repeat weeks or runs. Hope you feel better

Oh bah! Sympathy.

Running will be there for you when you are better. 😀

Rest... recover and know that the runs are waiting :)

It’s just a blip. Getting used to taking time out for illness and injury is as much part of the process of becoming an athlete ( for athletes we are) as learning to stretch and so on. Don’t worry about losing progress. This is an exercise habit that is going to last the rest of your life, not just a few weeks. A week here or there makes no difference in the long run. Meanwhile, let your nose do the running and get rest and fluids.

Hope your feeling better!!!

Yes thanks Laura I am feeling abit better. Been back to the gym today back on my 5k trail on Tuesday night. How are you? Are you still running? X

in reply toUnfitwestie

Yep did week 2 run 1 tonight... and first run on a treadmill rather than the roads. I do think it was easier than the roads. I repeated a few runs from week 1 to make sure I was ok moving on... slow but steady 😂😂 glad your feeling better. Good luck for Tuesday!!!
