I know I’m as slow as a tortoise but I didn’t know I looked like one! This picture of me coming last in the park run (with smiling tail walker beside me edited out) made me realize that far from a gazelle I’m hunched up with my neck stuck out of my shell.
The people behind me are just doing an extra lap for fun! Look at all the layers I’m wearing! Now those must weigh me down right?
So today I went out on my own and made an effort to be more upright, looking ahead, admiring the view , more relaxed less layers slowly coming out my shell proud to be a runner.

Nice picture even if you say that you're kind of hunched... Well done for the park run and for correcting the posture next round. Have you heard of that Jean de La Fontaine's fable about a tortoise and a hare (Le Lièvre et La Tortue in French)? In the end, the tortoise wins
I think you are being a bit hard on yourself. A side view would have illustrated the issues you mentioned, but there aren't many of us whose posture is perfect at the end of a run.
Your awareness of the importance of posture can only bode well.
I think maybe a little negative self-perception is at work here. What a lovely photo. Happy at the end of a hard run. I agree it is a good idea to check your posture when running. I slump a lot and I get reminded by certain niggles which I stop by uncurling a bit. Keep on running and smiling. xx
I don't think you look that bad, as long as you aren't bending forward from the waist a forward sort of posture is fine. You don't want to be completely upright, leaning from the ankles is the way to go!
I think you look lovely anyway, LookNannyruns ! If there really is an issue of posture (I honestly can't see it here tbh, and you've just finished a run...) then it's great that you are aware of it and working on it - and yes, you should be proud of yourself as a runner. But don't beat yourself up. You also have a cracking smile.
