Hi all I’ve have a couple of sharp pains in my arch and I wear arch support in my normal shoes . Am worried now I may make it worse if I run tomorrow R1Wk4. My running shoes are Brooks from about 9 years ago and were specially fitted, and I’ve only run in them about 10 times before this programme? Thanks for any advice . Cat

Maybe a gait analysis and new shoes fitting are in order.
Replacing your running shoes can help you avoid injuries, if you know when to do it; generally, you should replace your shoes after running in them for a maximum of 500 miles. Turn your shoes over every now and then and look to see if the sole is lined, or if cracks are forming. That's a good indication your shoes need replacing. Also, as you should with all aspects of your running, listen to your body. If little aches and pains get bigger, or if new twinges show up, think about replacing your shoes. If your shoes are past their prime, they're not helping you stay in yours.
Hi! Have you got a plantar fasciitis? I suppose you have flat feet like me... Watch out for that pain if it is getting more and more annoying: you don't want to get your tendon inflammed. See your GP or physio if you feel pain in the morning when you get up and you can't walk well. Apart from dave's advice about shoes and gait analysis, you can also have a look at this weblink (scroll down the page for specific parts on PF) which shows special stretching for PF:

I found them very helpful but be aware that you need to do the exercices everyday...
Hope it'll help you and perhaps take an extra-rest day before your next run.
Thank you both Dave and Anthie. I will take on the advice about getting new running shoes. Also an extra rest day. I’ve just ordered some Birkenstock inner soles for my slippers as I’ve had new slippers since xmas and they have no support at all and I think that’s not helping. I’ve looked at the website Anthie and took screen shot of the exercises too. So many thanks for your support guys 😁
Try rolling a golf ball under your foot and then a small bottle of frozen water. Then take the advice you've already been given about shoes, etc.
