Absolutely buzzing!

Well, my first ever Parkrun was cancelled yesterday due to black ice, much to my relief really, after spending most of Friday night in the local A&E with our mum. Kudos to the medics and nurses who took really good care of her and we managed to get her back home early Saturday am. Soooo, after a good nap 💤 , and once things had thawed out a bit, I thought I’d try doing the 5k myself, armed with Laura and the c25k+ programme, and I have to tell you that I smashed it!!! I must admit that I have probably been going too fast up until now, but the plus programme is great for regulating that pace. So looking forward to the challenge of next weeks Parkrun! Onwards and upwards guys!!

Slow and steady is the way

Thanks rolysmate ! My problem probably is that I do most things at a rate of knots, so the whole programme has been a real lesson for me one way or another. I guess I still have a lot to learn!

Thanks, Millsie-J . Mum is 89 and has advanced Alzheimer’s but continues to amaze us all with her determination to hang on in there! She belongs to that strong generation that surmounted all odds, and she continues to do so!!

Well done you!

I love the C25k+ podcasts. I put off looking at them because of some negative comments on here. But I think they've been really helpful.

Hope next week's park run goes well.

Thanks, DebJogsOn ! Yes, I’m finding the plus programme really suits me as it gives me a better idea of the pace I should be hitting. I’m not sure whether I will like running in a group, but am really looking forward to the challenge of next week’s parkrun. I’ll maybe come last having had to do some walking but I’m not worrying too much about that given the upbeat comments on here today. It’s all these encouraging comments that have got me to this stage otherwise I would’ve given up!
