Will power wobble

I dipped out of an evening event at work today with the excuse that "I want to do my run". By the time I got home though I really didn't want to go. But I don't want to give up on this. I want to get fit. So I didn't argue with myself and just got changed and out the door. It was week 2 run 2 and I had to push myself all the way. Didn't get the glow of satisfaction when I'd done this time and started thinking I wont be ready to step up to week 3. What a negative frame of mind. The main thing is I did the run and I'll have a go at wrapping up week 2 on Friday then worry about w3 after that. Hope everyone else going ok.

I feel a bit like that. I found w2 run2 hard! But we can power through it. I think the key is don’t go too fast. Good luck!

Well done for pushing through. Don't worry about week 3 until week 3!

I have W2 R2 tomorrow and then will finish Week 2 also on Friday.

I will be looking for your post on Friday saying you have completed Week 2. good luck.

Its hard to get out this time of year, wind, rain, ice, sleet etc. But you did, so you should be proud and pleased with yourself!

Keep a positive approach, this is very much a psychological journey as well as a physical journey. You are doing really well.

...but you still got out there and succeeded despite how you felt, so double well done. You are proving how determined you can be!

Go slowly and gently next run, shoulders down and relaxed- bet it will be better than today. 😃

Getting out there when you don't feel like it is half the battle, so well done. Spring will soon be here (says she, looking out at icy pavements and thinking what a good thing I ran yesterday).

You got out there, that’s the main thing. You can do this!
