Lost my will power

Last week I completed 2 of my week 4 runs. I've been on a hen weekend this weekend, drank copias amounts of gin and cider, eaten lots of crap, got home yesterday and this morning woke up with a stonking cold. I'm off work this week and booked my little girl into nursery Thursday Friday so they are the only days I can go to the gym (not ready to run outside yet). But now I'm just blergh.....cant be bothered to pick it up. Should I go back a week or do 1 day of last weeks run or just start where I left off? I am starting my healthy eating again tomorrow so will hopefully feel more positive!

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling your best. I generally find that alcohol tends to upset my running :( I am sure you will feel better in a day or two. Keep drinking loads of water. With regards to picking up your running, try run 3 of week 4. If you find it too difficult you can go back to run 3 of week 3. Good luck with the runs this week!

As the guide to the plan states you don't lose significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

booze and salty foods will dehydrate you, so make sure you spend the next few days getting your hydration back up to scratch and that will help you feel ready for your run later in the week. You will be fine. Rfc x

Great job so far. A good relaxed weekend won’t harm... and that “crap” food can also be considered fuel 😂

The cold may be an issue... if your symptoms really above the neck you should be fine... and there’s no reason to go back a week, just run nice and slowly and you’ll be fine. If that cold drops onto your chest though, rest is the better option.

Have a good run... and I bet you’ll find that will power on your route.
