after many months of "asking" :p and negative replies lol out of the blue she decided she wanted to give the couch to 5k a go. she started her first one on the 8th and did pretty well, made sure i jogged slightly behind her and didn't push her pace in anyway and to listen to the podcast, to be fair she felt good afterwards, like "the buzz feeling" just a bit sore in the legs but told her to expect that to begin with. im going for my 10k run today and meeting her afterwards to start day 2. since i started running march of last year ive still never had a running partner, really excited to see where we are in the next 10 weeks or so :)

You'll probably be divorced Dave!😁

No, of course not, just give her gentle guidance and stay with her for motivation. I coached my lady on c25k and she did very well and graduated, and it was great to see, which made me feel really good, and she did a few Parkruns with me, but over the last year or so she has had some serious medical issues arise, she is hoping to get back to running in the not too distant future, when she gets the go ahead from the doctor, and is going to redo c25k, and yes, I've said I would do it with her again, at least this time she'll have a good idea of what it's all about which may make it slightly easier for her..

Carry on with the good work!😊

Yay! That is great. It is good that you are very conscientious to watch your pace. Many years ago when my husband and I would try to run together, I would get frustrated because his pace was too fast making my run way too hard and not enjoyable. Now, if we try to run together (once in a very blue moon), he still runs too fast, but I can run forever compared to him so I just remind him how long we're going for and he tends to listen better 😆. Here's hoping for many years of happy running together 🏃🏽💘🏃‍♀️

Just got back from her second one. It's a great cool down jog walk after my run too. She is showing early symptoms of the running bug. I just hope she keeps it 😂

starting her week 2 today or tomorrow, had a double rest day but life stuff gets in the way as usual and... she really wants to come to parkrun on saturday as well #shocked . if thats the case then probably best to do her c25k at the start and finish the end of with a walk right?
