I replied to a post from boptillyoudrop49 about running with her daughter that my mum was planning to give C25K a go at the age of 77. So, as promised, I am posting on her behalf ( getting her to use headphones and a podcast was hard enough so a forum is a step too far!). There is officially another newbie out on the trail. She went out this morning and completed W1R1 π She had planned to power walk but when she started realised she had no idea what power walking was so she jogged!! She sounded so happy and pleased with herself - there's a feeling we all know π
So for anyone reading this and thinking you can't possibly do it - oh yes you canπ
I'm truly impressed by mum, not just by the running either but embracing sine new technology ππ

that brought tears to my eyes.. so lovely to hear about and so excited for your mum that she is doing this..
I planned this as a solo venture - I home educate so was not completely against the idea of having some time to myself - but my kids volunteered to join in and I was so touched by their enthusiasm and it has been absolutely lovely and also very motivating as if I don't go, nobody goes as I drive us to the lovely woods that we run through..
Keep us posted about how you and your mum are doing xx
We have run in the woods from our first run - because we knew it from dogwalking - and it seems to be a good surface so that is the only place we have run. We got lots of support from people we see walking their dogs there who all call things like 'Shouldn't you be running now?' and 'IT's 90 seconds running, isn't it?'
Oh I like that, fantastic lady. You must be proud. Life is too precious to be wasted. It is great to come across someone who is game enough to have some "get up and go" and do things just because they can.
