So, I am the excuses lady. I can't start that diet/run/swim/walk etc today because I'm tired/sore/it's raining/I'm watching tv/I'll do it tomorrow etc etc. It would appear the sum total of my excuses efforts has led to this lady in her 40's trying to recapture her youth, energy and good god her figure! Ha!
About 18 months ago I stopped the excuses and got off my butt and went back to the gym. Now I walk, cycle and HIIT workout regularly and althou I'm not thinner or younger I am definitely happier and fitter.
Last week (after work in the US and then a weeks holiday) I decided today was my W1R1 day.
Today is grey, raining, bit cold and all round a bit crap. So.....I put on my gear and went to my pre-chosen field and completed my W1R1. NO EXCUSES!!
Best feeling ever! Thought I would burst with pride and happy vibes. Each time Sarah Millican asked if I was ready I shouted "yes!" and started running!
It's a marathon and not a sprint but I'm looking fwd to seeing what this excuses no more lady can pull out of the bag!! ππ»ββοΈπͺπππ€

Well done Sarah, today is the start of your running adventure, no longer will you look and handbags and shoes, you will be drawn to sports shops and talking about gait analysis like a pro
Thank you! π Some of that is happening already, ha! I'm sad now when I go in to a Cotswold Outdoors coz there's nothing left I need to buy, boo!! Roll on needing new trainers, socks, running water bottle, compression socks, hat, gloves.......now where did I put that credit card?? πππ
Love it - can just tell you're going to crack this and we are all going to enjoy the journey with you!! Go girl!! ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½
You go girl, good on you π€ You look so happy and are a lady after my own heart. I used to find any and every excuse but no more. I was so happy when I graduated - I've just come back from the gym doing a 30 minute run on the treadmill (too much of a woos to run in the rain but at least off my arse!). When you graduate, you will feel absolutely amazing and so proud β and so you should be. I hope you enjoy the program and keep us all posted. They are a fabulous bunch on this forum and will give you all the support you should ever need. We're all right behind you x
From one excuses lady to another...i too am a terrible putteroffer but no more. I got to week four a while back and life got in the way for a while but I jumped back on the wagon tonight and forced myself out. Even though it was raining (Rachelbears hate the rain, FACT).
It's so silly because when I'm out there I love it.
