Loads of great advice and ideas and info here... then.. slow and steady is the way. Keep posting too for really great advice. We have a lot of friends who run with their dogs on here too x

Well done c25k will certainly help your stamina 👏
Ha! Im slim but was disconcerted when I had my gait tested on the treadmill in a running shop, to feel bits of me moving up and down out of time with the rest of me. Im happy to say tbat tbey seem to have firmed up now Im nearly at the end of the program - or it could be the elasicated lycra running tights are holding them in ...

My gait is terrible as I have had a dodgy hip since I was young, yet another reason to try and stay relatively active. Not sure I’ll ever make it into Lycra 😄
Yeah, you will. I have a slight scoliosis, shortening in my left leg from a fractured femur and a knee that is nothing but scar tisdue. When I had my gait tested (which you need to do, btw, to get the right shoes so that you avoid injuries) he noticed I 5hrow my right keg out to the side. My GP says running is the best thing for my injuries as it strengthens the muscles, and that suppirts the damaged bits. If you are worried, check with your GP, but for myself my gait is better after 9 weeks following this program, and I havent had one problem with my dodgy leg other than the same slight aches and pains everyone else has running..

Great goal, and your pup will love the new running you.
