Welcome.

The forum has witnessed many coming back to running after many years away. This plan works for anyone who needs a sensible and gentle way back to running as well as for first timers.

If there is a plan that will work for you, this is it. Read through this guide and see that you are in control healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Why so despondent? We will cajole, advise, encourage and cheer you through. Some very unlikely candidates have successfully transformed their lives with C25K.

You can do it.

You are right I Can do it. It's lack of confidence i used to run and I taught spin bikes for 15 years but a bad leg injury stopped me and the longer i didn't run the harder it's been to return to it

Just remember that you may never match the feats of former days, but running can still give satisfaction and peace of mind along with the physical benefits.

Sometimes the lack of confidence can be due to too much pressure on ourselves to do what we used to do...run 1 minute or 2 to start with walk repeat etc...once you get started you’ll probably want to push on to the next minute or more but if you don’t....it doesn’t matter! you made a start. 😊.

... I guess start and then enjoy the feeling when you finish each stage. The programme is great and I recommend the app. My favourite coach is Michael Johnson. Have fun

I just ran 30 mins and I really really didn’t thank that would be possible...

I started on a whim, an old friend who is a GP Cajoled me into to it ...

And I though this will never work...

I am a mum who’s just having her nest empty and sort of feel pointless and old Used up I guess ...but I have managed ...and really actually beginning to look forward to running.

I really can’t believe I made to 9 weeks

The recent holiday period and a shopping session in shoes that would horrify my daughter which resulted in a massive blister did slow me down ..

But I’m back in track

And really I came home tonight glowing from actually running 30 mins!

Please try

And every time you do it The wee voice that tells you it pointless and you can’t gets a wee bit quieter ..and you listen to it less!!

Very well done, ScienceSue. The 30 minutes target well and truly achieved. Used up? Nah! You're a runner now - AND you give great advice!
