Thought I would start the plan again at wk4. Run went well today a couple of niggles but left calf muscle was fine. As always feels so good to get out.

Glad your run went well today. I had quite a nasty calf tear at Week 8 of the programme (a distant memory now, thank goodness!). I had to take four months out before returning carefully. The positive is, that in the two years + since I graduated I have had no further problems with it. I think the secret is in taking that time out to let the muscle heal. Sounds like you did the right thing too - good luck with the rest of the programme. 🙂
I have had tight/painful right calf muscle since i started again (the left one feels fine now). Oldfloss mentioned rolling the muscle in her reply. I had never heard of this but i will go and buy a roller tomorrow. It does feel like it is all coming together, I hope that i will be able to do a weekly 10k before long, Thanks for your post

Well done you... just keep it slow and steady and try to roll and stretch that muscle out really well
Hi old floss, I have been having trouble since i started again with tight/sore right calf muscle although it hasn't let go like my left one did. Was wondering what you meant by roll that muscle, so i have just discovered foam rollers, I guess you use them, I will go and get one tomorrow. Thanks
