5 weeks on bronchitis that nearly had me in hospital and then the joyous indulgence of christmas and new year meant that since graduating end of October I have only been out running twice!
Be a bloody shame to let all of that 9 weeks of wobbling and sweating go to waste. And especially as over the last fortnight most of it has gone to waist!!
So kit is ready for tomorrow morning and time to get back out there.
To get the legs warmed up ready I shall take the 1 mile uphill walk to the pub this evening.
It's good to be back.

Welcome back GB. I was wondering where you had got to. Hope you are all better now.
There is no excuse to be made now, you need to be out there. A walk to the pub doesn't really count (as I keep telling my old man!). You'll soon be back up to speed and 2018 is (i am reliably informed*) the year of the gazelle
Yay he's back! Nice to hear from you GB, but sorry to hear about the bronchitis. Ugh. Hope you enjoy your triumphant return to running. Take it nice and easy and do report back.
I am on the IC but rearing to join you. Missing running loads, but exercising patience for once in my life. 😱
Welcome back GingerBohemian ...thought you’d gone quiet!! Sorry to hear about your bronchitis, sounds like it knocked you for 6?? I will be out there in the morning too but no warm up walk to the pub for me!! Think my running has suffered a bit due to overindulgence in the alcohol over the festive season but I’ve got my ‘parkrun” head on tonight so I’m going to be a good girl & stick to water (water?? Yes, you heard it right, Friday night & im on WATER?!!!!) good luck for tomorrow 😉
aw I thought you'd run off into the distance and left us behind! Sorry that you've had bronchitis - nasty. You were one that specifically encouraged me to do my first tourist running - can I return the favour along with all these lovely forummers and encourage you back out for a post-festive-indulgence jogette tomorrow!? Enjoy the pub tonight!
Welcome back GB. Sorry to hear it was illness keeping you quiet, but am glad you are back and will be tying up the trainers again tomorrow. Enjoy your run.
Welcome back. I had a holiday from running too over November and December. Over did the party season. Put on some poundage, and now trying to burn it off again. After a 6 week break I have discovered I can no longer run a full 5k without a walking break or two. But we will get back there. Enjoy the pub.
Welcome back & happy running. After illness ( I'm sorry you had such a grotty time), some running however slow & gentle is more fun than none! Listen to your body time! 😀
