Stretch well and very well done But.. if this is day one...that seems quite a distance?
For your three runs in week one, you will begin with a brisk five-minute walk, then alternate one minute of running and one-and-a-half minutes of walking, for a total of 20 minutes.
Thanks. I was on a treadmill, so I could regulate my walking and running pace. My brisk walk was 6km/h (a good pace which built up a sweat, but didn't leave me breathless). I ran at 8km/h (which is the point where I would start running, rather than a very fast walk).
For more see my reply to Helenwheels.
Are you doing C25K or just running. I would really recommend the programme, it will take you to 30 minutes running without too much achynes and will help you to establish a habit for life. Good luck

Further to Oldfloss (didn't want to repeat myself)....
My reasons for embarking on this is because I have put weight on after recovering from Prostate cancer. I wanted something structured and I have been reasonably fit in the past.
Thanks for your guidance. I am always willing to take advice.
Cool
