Hello lovely runningtons.
It’s cold, really quite cold. Yesterday morning we had snow. This morning more snow, though by lunch time most of it had gone. The MET office proclaimed I had a 1 hour window where it wasn’t going to precipitate, so I wrapped up a little: jogging bottoms, annoying Aldi compression top which makes me look fat, zip up fleece, light gloves, New woolly bobble hat from Sainsbury’s. off I went!
The run itself was pretty uneventful, felt good, not the fastest or the slowest. It turns out, though, that the MET office was telling porkies. Most of the Run was completed in a light snow flurry! Eventually I called it quits, after 20 minutes or so, because the pavement was quite icy and now going downhill, I didn’t want to risk another stint on the IC.
But I conquered the weather and ran, and yes, it was good!
If I can do it, anyone can!
