.......is to be careful which year you choose for 'Pick of the Pops'. Today was 1960, and on the menu on my run was 'EIEIO' twice. I am not kidding. One 'Old McDonald' was by Frank Sinatra, and one was a rock music version. Then 'Little Donkey'. Apparently the last time this was in the charts was a version by Gracie Fields. And the 'Bum diddy bum Doctor song' by Sophia Loren and Peter Sellers. xx
And the lesson learned today......: .......is to... - Couch to 5K
And the lesson learned today......
Sounds absolutely marvellous to me!!!!
hahaaaaa! Oh no!
They don't write 'em like they used to!
Oh my....never heard of them..glad you weren’t put off!!! Lol
Hmm, yes. See your point! I’d spend more time laughing or grimacing than running. Please do tell us what treats 1972 brings!
Haha - oh no, can't think of a worse soundtrack! How on earth did you manage to run?! Who said the Sixties were cool?
That’s weird! I couldn’t stop singing Goodness Gracious me the other day Dunno what set me off 😃
I love little donkey Nina and Frederick 😃👍
I listened to some 60’s today. Canned Heat and Janis Joplin to name but two
Groovy baby 😃👍
Ha! Roll'n'Tumble, the way The Heat delivered it at Monterey in '67 is still one of THE car driving/running songs.
Janis? An entirely different league, its own category.
I'm amazed when people run to a generic bpm when there's all this plethora of timeless stuff (well, for me at least).
The other day l did a 10K spin around the Thames path while listening to a Clapton's '79 Tokyo gig.
You know what, l ran like an antelope.
I was telling my son about the Monterey rock festival the other day funnily enough
I absolutely love the Janis rendition of Bobby McGee. It’s better than Kris K version
Canned Heat wise I run to Going up country and back on the road again, which has some haunting harmonica to get lost in
Clapton wise I have Crossroads but not Layla, dunno why
Rolling and Tumbling I have on by Muddy Waters 😃👍. Ain’t that a man!
