I wanted to do another park run next Saturday but have signed up for local 2k santa run on Sunday. Would I be silly to do both? I've been running 5k regularly since graduation at end October. I'm hoping it might be ok

I don't think you will have any problem - 5K parkrun on Saturday and a 2K funrun on Sunday. As always, listen to your body. We have some parkruns here where they do a double run on either Christmas day or New Years Day. My locals do their double on New Years Day - So we do a normal parkrun on New Years Eve Saturday then a double at 2 different parkruns on the next day Sunday :) AND it will be around 33C+ :(

Thank you

Generally the rule is onl6 do consecutive days running after a years experience of running. I found this out only recently. But you’re sensible and I would think it would be fine. You know the game now, slow, steady and listen to your bod. Happy running

As Jan said, but you don't have to run hard at parkrun.......do you?

Thank you, I don't tend to run hard, quite happy to be at the back of the 400 runners at the park run 😊

I think you’ll be fine...as long as you feel ok after the 5k Sat...2k won’t hurt...then a good rest for a coupla days afterwards 😉

I think Mummycav has it. By this point you are probably fine doing these two particular events back to back, just making sure you get in plenty of repair (and stretch) time after.
