W7R2 done. Lovely big moon looking down on me on this run and lots of Christmas lights to keep me entertained 😊 but I’m starting with very sore shoulders? I don’t know if this is due to running or something else? Has anyone else experienced this?
I tried to take a picture of the moon without stopping so it’s not the best but it was worth an attempt! Finished my warm down by walking into a branch off the tree on my drive so now I have a handsome scar to boot 🤨

Shoulders... ? Usually tension, holding ourselves a little too tight when we run... enjoy the longer runs by relaxing into them and try really hard to land lightly
Great photo- looks a bit sci- fi ish - 2 moons??! 😃
I don't know any about shoulder pain, but I do know that I conciously relax my shoulders when I run - it was good advice that I was given many weeks. 😀
Yes, when you listen to the podcasts Laura reminds us to relax our shoulders It's easy to get tense. As you get stronger your shoulders will toughen up. They do put some work in if you think about it
Beautiful photo, it does look like 2 moons😂😂. I also get sore shoulders & i think its a combination of holding my phone in my hand, even though i have a great fitbelt, and tensing shoulders up. So im really trying hard to learn to relax my shoulders & use fitbelt😊
It’s so sore isn’t it? Ive just been doing the food shop and have now become aware that my shoulders are tense all the time. Have to keep correcting myself! 😊
My neck and shoulders are stiff too. I put it down to needing to replace my pillow, but maybe Im tensing up. Because I have to tackle hilly going on every run, I think Im probably tensing in anticipation of slogging uphill. I noticed it today when we were out with the dogs and we had to walk up a very steep incline: I began breathing heavily while still on the flat, remembered the responses to your post, and relaxed; got to the top without panting.
See I’ve got a rubbish pillow too that definitely needs replacing- it’s flat as a pancake. But that normally causes me pain in my left shoulder and it’s mostly my right now. Think I’ve got very poor posture that my body is getting annoyed about as I’m running more 😂
I struggled with this as well- neck and shoulders. I concentrated on keeping my shoulders down and back when I ran and doesn’t seem to be a problem now. Hope that helps you.
