I’m all very new to this but tomorrow I will complete my first week of my CT5K. I will be doing my final run of my first week on my own. Can anyone tell me if you can listen to music and still have your trainer tell you when to run and walk? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!!
Music: I’m all very new to this but tomorrow I... - Couch to 5K
Music
Well done on starting the program Lottiehud. 😊
If you are using the app you can play your own music and the c25k coach will interrupt in with instructions. If you use the podcasts there is already music on the recording.
Good luck with Wk1 R3..you can do it...
I was reliably informed that Spotify is free so if you download that and get that going then start the couch to 5k the music plays and then goes quiet when couch to 5k speaks. Good luck I’m only a little further forward than you just started week 3, it’s really good isn’t it 😃😃
Thank you for your help with this! It is much appreciated. Good luck with the rest of your journey!!!
I listen to my own music and have the C25K app running in the background, although I once had runtastic running at the same time, the voice coach on runtastic stopped the C25K app working. Disabled the runtastic voice coach so I can now have Runtastic Strava C25k and my own music all running at the same time
If you’re using the podcast you get their (Laura's) music. With the apps you use your own (and get a choice of 'trainer'). You can run several apps together.
The advantage of Laura’s music is that it’s faster paced when you’re supposed to be running and slower when you’re walking. The disadvantage is that it’s not necessarily music you like!
At first I used the podcast as there was too much else to think about to bother too much about the music. Now I’m in week 6 with longer runs the music is more important and I’m using my own.
Trouble is that when I have to start, and stop: Map My Run, Couch to 5k, separate music, and my fitness trackers 'run' thingy when I start and finish my run, let alone remembering water, gloves, tissue, keys etc, it’s all a bit of a palaver!
