This was the one I've been worrying about - 20mins running with no break. It seemed almost like a misprint at the end of week 5.
I went out last night determined but slightly doubtful... Pleased and chuffed to say I completed it. I've taken on board the advice of slowing down a bit, and it really helped me.
To anyone worrying about W5R3 - don't. Just pace yourself and you will do it.
W6R1 looks like a rest day now!

Thanks Flick - I hope the weather stays kind for you. it was 3 degrees last night so a tad nippy to start with.
Having said W6R1 looks like a rest day in comparison, I've just been reading how it catches people out as it's harder than we expect. At some point this running lark will get easier won't it....... (statement or question??)
Good luck for Friday - keep it steady and you'll be fine.

Freezing here too this morning while i was doing the 8 minute runs.
Yes, there was a response to a post a few days ago from one of the mentors, saying 6/1 isn't the doddle it looks.
I'm finding the runs easier than at the beginning, I'm getting used to slopes and hills now. The first week, i thought I was going to collapse, and I was only running for a minute at a time. Sneaky sneaky program, it picks you up and takes you forward without you realising. I've mostly got over being out of breath - but we shall see.
Well done! I thought W6R1 was fine and easier compared to W5R3. I’ve just competed week 6 this morning. Go out with no expectations and take it a step at a time.
Well done doing this one. Some folk (including me) found W6R1 quite hard because it takes you back to shorter intervals. but adopt the same positive attitude and pace you did for this run and you'll be fine and dandy.
