Was intending to run tomorrow but after seeing the beautiful sunshine this morning, I thought letโs go for it!
After the disappointment of failed technology on Sun I did a back up this morning but Runkeeper behaved itself this time. I felt a tad out of sorts on the first part of the session and started to question if the 5ml walk I did yesterday was a good idea....my legs were feeling heavy and didnโt really improve much throughout the run. Had to stop at 4K, nature called, so time couldโve been better as I didnโt pause the app but hey ho, I recorded my first 5k......wahey ๐ค๐
30 min run on Thurs then graduation on the Charity Santa Run on Sunday.....I couldnโt have done this without the support and advice of you guys, thank you and happy running ๐โโ๏ธ ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐๐โโ๏ธ
Well done you nearly there now ๐๐๐๐ weather shocking here in West Wales hail โ๏ธ etc. Due todo my W9R3 tomorrow early but forecast grim ๐ but going todo Park run on Sat as my first graduation run so fingers crossed todo final run see you on the podium. ๐
Hey Ted! Congratulations on your first 'official' 5k (I knew you'd do it) and I'm glad the techie stuff didn't let you down this time. That's a very respectable time if it also included a "comfort break" (it's all right for you chaps!) Just one more run left before graduation ... wow. Good luck with your fundraising and don't forget to post up photos of your Santa run.
I'm just back at my desk from doing wk8r2; it was cold but lovely bright sunshine here at lunchtime. Clouded up a bit now, so glad I went out when I did. I had a late night (baby-sitting my little grandson) last night and was feeling tired this morning but the 28 mins seemed OK once I'd started. I don't log my runs as at the moment as just concentrating on getting to the end of the programme and running non-stop for 30 mins, but I'll download Runkeeper I think for the future (although my stats will probably be depressing).
Good luck for your next two runs ... they're getting the podium ready for you. What are you planning post-graduation?
Thanks Angela. Stats arenโt important really because I donโt go for pace, just distance at the moment.
My plan is to go for 10K then 10ml and hopefully the Reading Half Marathon in March.... my brother seems to think Iโll be able to do it but weโll see...canโt see that far ahead yet ๐
Iโll do some park runs in between as part of the training ๐ค
Impressive stuff! So nearly there, good luck finishing and achieving all of your goals in the future, you've got your work cut out for you.... but something tells me you will do it all!
