First Park Run tomorrow...wish me luck!

Graduated a month ago, have tried PR unofficially ( sadly had to walk abit), and practiced the route on my day off. Tomorrow is the day, I've downloaded my barcode, sorted my gear out, had a light dinner and put the wine back in the fridge. 😣

Really nervous as I can't always finish the full 5k, but I'm going to try.

Happy Running everyone.

Don’t forget your barcode!

No need to be nervous, if you can’t complete the full 5k tomorrow then walk a little, you won’t be the only one for sure. The support is amazing, and they’ll cheer you regardless of if you sprint, run, jog, shuffle, walk, or crawl over that finish line. Go have fun.

Enjoy. It’s amazing. I’m excited myself, I’m doing my 40th Parkrun tomorrow. Can’t wait.

Just relax and enjoy the atmosphere. You’ll be great, the crowd will pull you along, but as said if you need a little walking break, take it.

40! Wow, now that's a goal to aim for!

The first big milestone is 50. When you run 50 Parkruns you get a red Parkrun t-shirt with 50 on the back. I’m aiming to get mine in September.

You can walk a bit if you need it ! Go for it but at your speed

Just run at your own pace. It doesn't matter if you walk a little, means that you will have a bench mark and something to improve on.

PB against your name is always good even if it's only a couple of seconds.

Good luck slow and steady is the mantra. But most of all enjoy it!
