I probably have never run for a solid 20minutes in my life. Played a lot of sport in my younger days but it was all short sprinty stuff like cricket, hockey, tennis etc.
Been suffering with a cold so started with the attitude give it a go and see. The first five minutes were the worst but then I found some sort of rhythm and the rest was fine.
A cheery wave from the only other runner I saw just after the 10 minute mark spurred me on.
Looking forward to week 6 now and still on track to graduate before Christmas.

Very, very well done! Well done too for listening to your body, to see if you felt okay!
Great to tuck this away and move onto the longer runs, the lovely relaxed pace that you are already feeling.. what I call your happy pace... can be terrific as you head towards the podium!
The feeling ok thing is very interesting, especially how the body adapts.
Week 1 and 2 - bad shin tightness/cramps (not shin splints).
Week 3 - still a bit on the shins, a bit also some lower foot (plantar) tightness.
Week 4 - none of the above, this week it was the knees - and these continued a bit into Week 5 but got better with less "pain" feelings and quicker recovery
After today's run the knees are fine - everything is fine.
I'm assuming that this is all about conditioning and muscle development.
It's also fair to say that none of the above were injuries just the strained feeling that the body had done some work.
