I was about to do W7R2 when I went in for surgery 4 days ago and so pleased with my C25K progress as I haven’t done any exercise for over 40 years. It had to be done as I was getting such bad pain when running.
I signed up for a Parkrun on 30th December, in about 5 weeks from now. My toe is still sore and I’m feeling really bad about not being able to run and even worse about not being ready for the Parkrun in time. I live abroad and I am so looking forward to spending time with my my family when I head back for Xmas and even more to be able to run with my brother in the Parkrun.
Are there any exercises I can do while I wait for the healing? I feel useless hobbling around when I should be exercising and preparing. Will I make the Parkrun or is that out of the question?

You can walk at Park runs too so don’t worry if you haven’t run a 5k. I did one as my graduation run but stuck to the 5 mins warm up and only ran for 30 mins. Good luck
If you are worried about your cardio stamina, you can do those arms exercises (with those machines that are like bike peddles, but for your arms?). Other than that, it sounds like rest has been prescribed for your weary feet, so rest you should probably adhere to!
