The week started fine. Got through my first run right on schedule. That's when things started to go downhill. Because of personal commitments and work I was unable to complete my other 2 runs. It also didn't help that I really pigged out this weekend. So since starting this program, I've essentially taken one step forward and two steps back. But I am committed to completing this program. I'll be repeating the Wk2 runs, hopefully this time without any interruptions.
Wk 2.......Fail: The week started fine. Got... - Couch to 5K
Wk 2.......Fail
Just take your time. Slow is good. Don’t pig out, run instead. If you follow this programme nice and slowly you’ll get it done
Good luck 🙂
I would tend to be relaxed about it, up to a point. If you missed some runs, catch up or repeat. If you castigate yourself, you will get a vicious guilt cycle going where you put yourself off running because you didnt run and then feel guilty about not running.
Don’t beat your self up, just do it again..
And use Sanj he’s just lovely...
It kind of helps me if I scheduled my self the run, and a good podcast to distract...
As already said by Misswobble, take your time: it's not because the programme is planning 9 weeks that you absolutely have to finish within 9 weeks. To repeat the runs (I did a couple of times on week 2 and 3) makes you feel even more comfortable finding your pace. Don't put yourself under pressure: this is not work! You're doing it because you know it's going to make you feel good (well, even if some runs are tough . Well done for your determination and wish you a nice W2 running session.
No such word as 'f***'.. just a blip or practice run! Take it slow take it steady.. do not pig-out..unless playing the game of Pass the Pigs..
Stick at it! I thought I'd never get past wk2 (had to repeat wk1 and wk2 more than once!) then something happened in wk3 and I've not looked back since. About to do wk7r3 tomorrow. If this 'old bird' can do it, then so can you ... just believe in yourself and don't be too hard on yourself - take it slow and steady and you'll get there
