Incredibly blessed with a group of lovely ladies who I usually walk with twice a week. Mentioned I’d started this journey and several who also run (marathons and the like) said they had used this method to start their running, whilst others said they’d like to start too.
To encourage me three of the runners joined me this morning and graciously walked and jogged at my pace for the W1R2 programme before continuing with their usual Monday morning run around the Botanic Gardens. I completed the rest of our 5k walking route at a more leisurely pace whilst another couple of ladies abandoned their run to join with three other new starters to get them round their first session too.
