Just done the last run of Week 7. Doesn't feel like it's getting any easier so slightly dreading the extra three minutes next time.
Thanks to everyone who told me to slow down as it's made all the difference to getting this far.
I have been feeling a little bit of soreness in my right knee on these longer runs so have taken two rest days in between each run - hence it's taken me 9 days to do Week 7. On to week 8 in a couple of days.

Hello Longdistance! I have done week8 R1 and 2. R1 was fine and felt really good after it. Run 2 (yesterday) was harder as I went a bit too fast ( for me). Result is sore calf muscles but nothing more serious. So lesson learned, extra day off then nice and steady for run 3!
Experts are right about building up the time and then letting the stamina follow! Good luck and keep posting.
Well done LongDistance. This morning I just completed W7r3 after a dismal attempt at it a few days ago. I must admit music is a big factor in keeping me plodding on. I went with ELO this morning and it must have given me back some 'school days zest'. So I think that will be my plan of attack for W8...playing my school day tunes from 35 years ago.
