First Park Run

Today was run 2 of week 9, so was finally brave enough to do the nearest Park run. It’s in the local forestry commission forest so I knew it would be a bit up and down. Was surprised at the number of people there, and was very nervous as they all ran past me at the beginning. But I stuck to what Jo was saying and I completed the full 5k in 39 minutes - not the fastest I know but I am pleased. 1 more run to go 🏃🏻

Well done.

Just think, that was happening at hundreds of other parkruns around the country at exactly the same time........... that's what I call a movement.

I am glad you enjoyed it and now you have an official time to chip away at.

That’s fantastic, not been brave enough to join in with my local PR... and it’s only 5 mins from my house!!

One more run ... so exciting ... !!

Not the fastest maybe but nothing to be ashamed of there, sounds like a good run and not a bad pace at all

Well done- that's great.

I haven't braved a Park run yet, but working towards that gradually. I would definitely be slower than you at the moment.😁

Go for it, I was really nervous as I’ve done all my running over the last 9 weeks on my own. Everyone was so friendly and the marshalls really spurred me on. I will be back next week

Nicely done and fast doesn’t matter...completing it sure does and that’s a hell of an achievement....
