Lost my mojo :(

Went out for W4R2 having been chuffed that I had completed W4R1 the day before yesterday and just couldn't get in to a rhythm.

I felt like I wasn't using both legs equally, my legs started to hurt and after pausing twice, I gave up.

I feel gutted and really more upset (and panicked) than I should do.

Bad runs happen, if I were you I'd have two days off and try again. You've done so well to get to week 4, it's just one off run the next will be better...onwards and upwards :)

Week 4 is a great achievement....lots give up long before this week. You have shown that you can get out there and run by this week😊😊.Most of us have bad runs...bad days and in my case bad weeks lol!!Take a few days and try again. Do stretching( lots on here and YouTube), and remember why you started C25K...and keep coming on here...lots of support and advice😊😊

Ive done the whole 9 weeks and I still cant get into a rhythm straight away, feeling unbalanced, heavy legs, difficulty breathing etc. Ive found I have to start really slowly, then after first five-ten minutes my body sort of comes together and runs 'properly'. It feels like my body needs to get into gear, muscles warming up etc. What you're describing sounds just the same. When you get to the longer runs it'll somehow get easier, but in meantime take it slow. Repeatedly doing short runs is a challenge in itself. Also make sure you're hydrated- plenty of water in the 24hrs leading up to each run. And try not to panic, you're doing great 😊

I felt like I was running with one leg longer than the other yesterday but I kept going. That's the thing. Take a breather, start again, whatever it takes but keep going and complete the sesssion. You'll always be glad you did. You'd be surprised at just how much you can turn things round.

No need to panic! It's only a jog/walk session. If you slow things right down you'll find things less frenetic. Chill out a bit

Don't worry it is all part of the learning process. A bad run is so much better than no run. Just take it slow next time you go out and you'll be fine. Good Luck

Don't panic - remember how it felt on those first runs when you started the programme. You've made heaps of progress since then! The more you concentrate on not being able to get into a rhythm, the less likely it is to get sorted. Slow down your pace - do you listen to music when you run? I find that some songs just aren't adapted and throw my breathing and my pace right out. Maybe we should start up a forum for good jogging music to keep us smiling and give the right pace.

Not what you're looking for?
