The change in the runs in wk5 are totally unexpected !

But more shocking is the fact I actually managed my 2x 8min runs and live to tell the tale ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Not sure Iโ€™m going to manage the next run seems a very big jump to me ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฉ but Iโ€™m not one to be defeated will give it a go ๐Ÿ‘

Well done.

Two times 8 minutes plus 5 minutes walking is 21 minutes.

Next run is 20 minutes.

Slow and steady does it.

Yes 20 mins continuous with no rest though ,seems a lot but slow and steady it will definitely be ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š

The jump from Week 3 (9 minutes running) to Week 4 (16 minutes) is actually the biggest in the programme.

Week 4 is the most important week in my humble opinion. Week 5 is simply the middle of what I call 'the 3 bridge weeks' of C25K - weeks 4, 5, 6. Week 1-3 are the gentle foundation. Week 4, 5, 6 eventually get you running continuously for more than 20 mins. Weeks 7-9 are the 'build' to 30 mins.

Physically you're ready, but a lot of people don't realise it. W5R3 is a mental test more than a physical one. The 14 runs you do prior to W5R3 have prepared you for it.

GOOD LUCK!

John
