8 months on ......

Well I certainly wouldn’t have believed it when I started, or for that matter for most of the first month of C25k, that at 54 I would be a regular at Saturday parkrun and registering for a half marathon next March! My PB over 5k is now 27.26min and I’ve lost over a stone! Keep going and you can achieve it too!

Great encouragement thanks - just what I need to hear.

I am about to finish week 7, very slow but loving running and am beginning to think ahead to what to aim for post C25K. Great to hear a "several months on"post from someone of a similar age, (well ok, I'm older - sigh!!) 😄

It’s called the Brass Monkey and it’s in York in January. I really need to get training! Which one have you signed up for?

Gatwick Gabby08 but wish I was doing the York one as I’m originally from Hull and spent many a great day out in and around York so would have been lovely! Hope training goes well and thanks for your encouragement 😊

If you fancy a really lovely run in York, I can highly recommend the Yorkshire 10 Mile in October!

I’ll look it up and might be a nice way to get up there again! Thank you!

Brilliant - which HM are you doing? The journey is special isn't it? When I began I also never anticipated that at 52, I would have completed my first HM! You will love it - good luck with the training!🙂

Thank you, I’ve decided on the Gatwick HM as my friend is doing it and has promised to help me get the extra distance in time. Fingers crossed 🤞

Thank you 😊 keep the faith and give yourself lots of credit along the way - there will be good runs and not so good, but as long as you keep going there’s no such thing as a bad run 👍 oh and of course well done for getting this far too!! 👏

Thank you and well done you too! I’ll keep posting as to my progress - seems a bit daunting at moment, but hey so did 5k when I started!
