Hi All. I did my first run today and found it ok. It will be a real challenge next week to come home from work and run in the dark. Anyone any tips to help me along?🏃♀️

A new life today
Welcome to c25k😊. I normally run at night so what i do is have Running stuff set out , change & go straight out because if i sat down I wouldn’t go!! Recently though i have not been sleeping great, age😂, so after reading the morning runners post ive started going out in the morning & its great!!! Daylight coming in just as I return home & then thats run done!!! Its great!! & all hyped up for the day. Stick with the program & have faith trust me it works! Enjoy & slow & steady!
Hi. Thanks for the great advice about setting out the clothes. I agree a no sit down before a run is wise. I wish I could run in the morning. I do go out quite early but have two dogs on flexi leads to walk. It’s hopeless trying to run with them both. However the fresh morning air is a good wake up.
Enjoy your running, how far are you along your running journey?
Have your stuff set out before you go to work so that you just come home, get changed and go. If you sit down then its harder to get back up!
I like to go really early in the morning so I set my stuff out the night before.
High viz and flashing things Warm togs... as the weather gets cooler... hat, buff, lightweight jacket Head torch too ?
Then, just like any other time of day... slow and steady and really enjoy!
Well done you!!
Though I'd rather run in the morning and in the light - I do like the way a run after work kind of clenses you of the frustrations of the day. I find that I leave all the day's angst behind me after am evening run.
