Advice please!

I've just completed week 6. I'm going on holiday on Saturday for 10 days. I won't be able to run while I'm there, it's a trekking holiday so not being lazy but will need my energy for the long days walking! When I get back how would people recommend I pick this back up? Should I try to straight into week 7 or should I repeat week 6?

what fun!!! the trekking will keep up your fitness, and perhaps do week 6 again on your return... no harm in that?

I was ill and had about 10 days off at that stage of the programme. I was advised to carry on and I did. It was fine and with your walking keeping you moving too, I would just move on to 7

Have a lovely holiday :)

I have been on hols for over 4 weeks so not run as much as I was doing, I’m having 2, 3 and even 4 days between runs but I’m walking loads on my rest days.......7 miles yesterday, so I’m sure your trekking will keep you in a good place.

See how you feel when you get back. Week 7 is exactly the same as week 6 run 3 ( my nemesis😩) so maybe try it and see how you go. As I was advised, it doesn’t matter if you call it week6 run 3 or week 7 run 1, “what’s in a name?”

Good luck and have a fabulous holiday.

W7 is the same as W6R3. I don't see the point of returning to intervals. I had a two week break through injury prior to starting W9. I just went out for my first run and tried to carry on running for as long as I could, not knowing what to expect. Well I completed the whole run, and it felt great, such a release after all that time away.

Hi there. I wouldn't recommend to repeat the week you've done already.

You've succeeded at that week and so when you return, move forward as normal.

I have just returned after a 9 day break and my run was just fine today.

Even though you're having a break, you're still keeping active. So go on holiday and enjoy yourself and don't worry about c25k. It will be here on your return and it'll be like you never left.

Have a lovely time.

Thanks everyone, continuing with week 7 seemed to be the general suggestion so I'll crack on!! Thanks for all your advice and well wishes xx
