Six weeks ago if I saw someone running in the rain I would have thought they must be mad........Well I guess I must be mad! I got up this morning, donned my new long sleeve running top and went out in the rain (only light rain but still rain). Went well but funnily enough I felt it, thought it would be easier after doing 20 minutes on Sunday but felt it in my thighs. Never mind, rest tomorrow, roll on Thursday for run 2 and excited about 25 minute run Saturday. good luck everyone which ever run you are on. Off to walk the dog for an hour now. I'm sure I should look like a stick insect instead of a dumpling LOL,

Well done! Week six is a bit weird so hang in there. Go steady and you'll nail it

The dog walking is good cross training exercise. Keeping moving helps you. i have much better runs when I've been walking the dog. Walk more in general! I walk everywhere practically and it burns calories very well 🙂

You don't need extra grub for the programme so don't treat yourself post run 🤐😀. Good luck. Slow and steady remember 👍🏃‍♀️✔️

I’ve always loved walking. Running is the new thing. Dog 🐕 gets an hour a day minimum and I never over eat but guess my age and my genes are against me

Yup. Mad as a box of frogs! :P

But you're in good company, I think we've all ended up running in the rain at one point or other, else there'd be no point ever starting C25K if you happen to live in the UK.

As for feeling it in your thighs? My theory is that a little post-run soreness that develops over the coruse of the next day or so is probably just a good sign that the muscles are repairing and strengthening as they should. Anything more than that, I would seek medical advice, just to be sure.

p.s. You'll love the 25 minute run, best feeling ever!

Gonna be hard to feel better than I did after 20 minute run. I was still smiling yesterday.
