Goodbye to Wk8

I decided to combine the last run of Wk8 with a trip to the local arboretum to collect leaves ( don't ask - Yr 1 Art lesson ).

Have never driven before a run before and was looking forward to a different location.

Whole run was actually a bit glitchy - podcast decided to keep jumping back during the warm up and because of the unfamiliar location it took me a while to notice so reckon that I walked for about 8 minutes. Run itself was ok except for a section in the middle where I managed to stray of the path into an area of rough ground with longer (wet) grass that went horribly up hill for a brief period. However managed to keep going and completed the 28 mins - not my fastest time I'm sure - but the new surroundings, so beautiful at this time of year, did make it feel like it went quite quickly (unless the podcast was glitching forwards 😉 😂 ) though think my ankles won't thank me for the rugged ground tomorrow.

So it's Wk9 here I come... still can't quite believe it!

Lol! I do those collecting things too - conkers, leaves, shells. The best one was collecting a few ears of wheat( fallen on the ground after the combine had been) and meeting the farmer in the field!!

Great run, huge well done.😃

😂Think my weirdest (and most desparate) was gathering sheep's fleece caught on a barbed wire fence so children could have a go at making woolen thread from it!

... we do do weird things don't we... picking lavender to make lavender bottles?? Growing the class name and number in Cress??? Setting beans to grow out of the roof of every child's Jack and the Beanstalk house... happy days :)

Well done. Did my W8R3 yesterday in the pitch black unusually for me .. would definitely have preferred a view I could see! See you on the podium :)
