Is anyone taking part in any of the British Legion poppy runs taking place around the country?

I am having to do it as "my poppy run" as unfortunately there isn't one in Norfolk. I'm planning to do mine at my local park run on 11th November then I'll be off to play Last Post on 12th 🎺. Good luck everyone taking part 🏃‍♀️🏃

No, in your head won't work!

Look at the British Legion site and look at 'my poppy run'. You can set yourself a run, pay for the t-shirt and make a donation; or set up a 'just giving' page if you want folk to sponsor you

Where you sign up to do a run (like poppy run) and run it wherever you are; rather than joining an actual race

You still donate. It's good for shy runners like me ☺️

Yeah I’ve signed up to do Wollaton Park Poppy Run ( Nottingham) 5th Nov which - if all continues to go to plan- will be my graduation run - I’m soooo excited

I'd like to do the virtual run but when I went to sign up my security system said the site was not safe to enter credit card details etc

It is actually free to register but you can buy an optional medal or medal & tshirt (mine arrived today) and make a separate donation. Once again I have raided my husband's CAF account rather than ask people to sponsor me, although one friend has done so anyway.

I'm in! I do have a fairly local one but decided to run my 5k at my usual parkrun as I don't fancy the hassle of driving and having to find somewhere to park, etc.

yes, it was strange to have the medal in advance. I actually only wanted the tshirt but couldn't order it without the medal as well

She who must be obeyed is doing the virtual poppy run with me, we will be doing it on 11/11 and starting at the 11th hour -- will be a run/walk but we will do it!
