Running up a storm

... perhaps literally. I'm doing a 5K Spooky Sprint at Waddesdon Manor tonight to raise money for Parkinson's UK and I am hoping Brian calms down a little by then! Or at least the wind blows in a sympathetic direction (mind you, it's a circular route so we will be stuffed one way or another). My stepdad died last year and suffered badly from Parkinson's so this run is for him.

Hate to think what my hair will look like afterwards, LOL. Good thing it's a spooky sprint!

Thank you! I am looking forward to it despite not being in the best shape (various asthma stuff going on means lack of proper training). Should be fun and ghoulish!

Thank you! Well done for giving up smoking - I know it's terribly hard to do as my dad's a smoker and has tried unsuccessfully. You've done a fab thing for yourself. x

I did a blustery parkrun with on/off rain this morning and it felt quite liberating in the elements. Just make sure you have a warm dry layer to add on afterwards. Good luck for your run, I'm sure your stepdad will be with you all the way.

Thank you - I hope you're warm and dry now! I'm planning on a skin underneath my glow-in-the-dark T shirt (!) and will take something warm to slip on in the car on the way home.

Don’t we all??!!!! Hair all over the shop & a glow that can probably be seen from space!!! Yes it’s a hot glow but it’s also a pride glow...we should all be so proud of what we’re doing 😉

Hey Funnyrunner - what a great cause, my grandad died a couple of years back and he suffered with Parkinsons, horrible illness! Sounds like a great run to do, will look out for that to see it there is a local one to me. Good luck 👍🏼
