I was so depressed by my last bad run that I didn't go running for THREE days. But it's a slippery slope I don't want to slide down. So I reluctantly put on my shoes this morning and headed out. One ten minute run and three seven minute runs, plus sprinkled in 3x10 squats, 6 mins of stretching, and one 5 min fast walk. And ten mins warm up/cool down. And everything was good. And I was fine. Saw many large, fine deer ๐ฆ and ran through a terrible cloud of skunk. Dogs slavered and snarled and howled on their chains as usual. Feel much better now. I'm infinitely slower in the thin air though, as if I weren't slow enough before!
Much better run!: I was so depressed by my last... - Couch to 5K
Much better run!
Glad you put that bad run to rest. Amazing how it can linger and wake up those pesky gremlins. But you got grit, and got out there, good work! Slow is good, right?!
Looks very pretty out there; shame about the thin air.
I am fighting little gremlins today, as I have my first run of week 9 on Sunday. But this post has given me hope. Thank you. ๐
Run, squats, stretching, walking! Definitely much better, good for you ๐
I had a crappy run today too. I went out to do 7k, was tired and changed route for 5k instead. In the end I only ran 4K. But hey, I was out running. The next one will be better.

Great that you are back on track! It is a bit up and downy at times, struggle on through the crap to get to the good! You are doing an amazing job in all that thin air!
Good on yer getting back on the road, can I ask where you are with skunk odour in the air
On the way... you are doing wonderfully!!! Hang in there you! I am thinking of you !
Well done for out running those gremlins! I always see a bad run as one that will make my next run look good! I went out today and Strava didn't record. I've no idea if it was good or bad, but I do know I had to walk about 5 mins of it. Maybe it's better not to know.
I did complete my first Zombie mission though, so I'm feeling I've done my bit for saving the world today at least! ๐
That sounds great ( not counting the skunk!) A "good run" after a "struggle run" feels so good - go you!! ๐
...If you have moved to a higher altitude it is bound to make a difference, be kind to yourself...
I'm still doing all that relaxing that you advised 3 weeks ago & finding it really helpful thanks.
