I'm off for a run!

Conditions : mild , wind in the face, road damp and slippery with fallen leaves.

Enjoyment level : great

Moment of deflation: over taken by a much older gentleman .

Highlight: week 9 run 1 done! 30 minutes of moving .

Question : is graduation 30 minutes or is graduation 5 k completed?

Graduation is running 3x30 mins. I graduated last week having not run the 5km in 30 mins. I can now run 5k in 35 mins!! A lot of people don't hit the 5k in 30 mins until after they've graduated and I was one of them!!

Thanks , it's is normal to feel like you don't want to graduate, that graduation should mean 5k ? according to The apps I only managed 3.5k today.

Just a name.. Couch to 30 minutes was not as catchy as C25K :)

30 mins is brill!! 'Only' 3.5km?! You are doing great, it will come, all in good time! I was incredibly impatient, but also so slow and useless that it took me weeks of consolidation to make 5k in 32 mins. Still not 30 mins and I graduated nearly 3 months ago! But I've learnt, thanks to all of the lovely peeps on here, to enjoy the journey and build a sport for life (I hope!). In doing that it's stopped me pushing for targets and all the things that make us stop cos we then feel we aren't doing well enough, according to... well, who? You are running for 30 mins non stop!! Who'd have thought 9 weeks ago? Amazing stuff. Love your post by the way, made me chuckle! :)

Yeah but it was the set of star jumps, knee bends squats etc performed at the end that really did me in!
