Born this Way by Lady Gaga has a fantastic running beat! And…Vogue by Madonna is another favourite, as well as pretty much anything by Prince. But, you got to run to music YOU like!

I don't believe in good 'running' tunes. There is only good music that you like. I listen to my stuff no matter what l do, including running. And if you don't like music (my father didn't understand the concept and meaning of music at all) then it's better to run to the sounds of nature around you. The birds can sing to you beautifully ;)

I am like mrrun, I just listen to my favourite music.........rock, reggae, folk, grunge and of course a bit of Sufi mystic chanting. I haven't tried classical yet, but see no reason why it shouldn't be just as inspiring.

Try this one from a number of us on here...jancanrun.com/retro-runners...

I've just looked at Jancanrun's retro playlist and it is my idea of 80's hell (sorry Jan). I love rock, country and blues. The thing is, you have to like the music you run to. I love it when I'm finishing a run and 'Another One Bites The Dust' comes on, it makes me smile through the pain. A lot of people use audio books or podcasts, I don't have the technological knowhow for that but I like the idea. Good luck in finding something that works for you

Timing of a song is important too. I like 20th Century Boy -TRex, but much better at the start of a run - whereas Jess Glynne's Take me Home, is great to finish a run with.

I agree its what works for you. Download Shazam if you struggle for song names.
