With just 1 more run to go on the C25K program, I'm trying to contain myself from shouting it from the rooftops!!
I'm very excited to be within touching distance of that graduation podium and my run is scheduled for early Sunday morning!!
In preparation for that run I decided to see if I could run 5k and also how long it would take me.
So, off I set at a slower pace with Oldfloss repeating in my ear "slow and steady" and this time I listened and what a difference it made!!
This has to be one of my most favourite runs. Everything just slotted into place, my breathing, my pace, the tunes were perfect, the weather was gorgeous, polite park goers, animals frolicking in the sunshine βοΈAll in all, a beautiful run to go along with a beautiful day!
As I said earlier, I decided to try and run for 5k just to give me a baseline of timings and was really surprised to see my time of 38 mins 42 secs π³π³ It didn't feel like that at all! 38 min 42 secs!! I can tell you that that time came as quite a surprise π³
After a shower and a light lunch, I found myself inextricably drawn to the Parkrun website and guess what I've just done?!! I've signed myself up for it!! Parkrun. Me. The girl who hated exercise ππ»ββοΈ
To all of you, my wonderful virtual running family, I thank you from the bottom of my heart of should that be running shoes, as without you, your wise words and your endless encouragement, I could not and would not be where I am without you.
I shall see you all on Sunday as I know you'll all be running along side me as I run WK9R3!!
Much running love to you all πππ
