Disappointed

First post for me and first time I couldn't complete the run. I'm on W8R2 and felt so exhausted I had to stop and walk a little while. I think partly the problem was it was very windy and I decided to do head wind half way then turn back with the wind behind me. I think the head wind was too much for me. Don't think there's much I can do about this though. Maybe should have not tried it.

I did this run the other day had to stop after 15 minutes and walk for a couple of minutes as I felt physically sick. I stopped again 5 minutes before the end and walked for a minute but added the time on so still ran all the minutes. I think circumstances can effect your run. I didn't sleep well the night before, hadn't drank enough and hadn't eaten particularly well. My body was telling me to stop and walk so I did. I repeated the run today and was fine. You have done it before and will do it again on another day, there's no point being disappointed, just try again 🙂

Thanks for that, I was the same in feeling sick after 15 minutes then stopped again near the end. Oh well I'll try again Friday.

A run is a run, good or bad. You did it and can tick it off 👍✔️

15 minutes is still good! I could barely do 1 when I first started. Good luck for Friday, you can do it 🙂

You didnt 'try'.....you 'did'

Every run is that little bit more mileage on the legs and stamina. In week 8 the runs are now getting longer than you are used to so maybe take an extra rest day.

Go back out when you are ready and slow it down a notch. You'll breeze through.

You did a run in trying conditions, and no it didn't do the target, but you put more minutes, km, and stamina in your running bank.

And you did right to try it, if you hadn't tried you wouldn't have known that headwinds are a pain, it's another lesson learned.

Well done for having a go and good luck for next time, with the wind behind your back!

I had a terrible week 7. I had to do run 1 and 2 twice as I had to keep stopping. I considered doing week 7 again, I was really disappointed in myself. After some great advice from this site I set off slow and steady and completed week 8 without any problems. Don't be disappointed, put it down to practice and have another go.
