Well after a few weeks of holiday life and nights drawing in this morning I thought I really should get out and do a run so set off at around 07:15 to do what some call a little jogette so managed 3k in just over 20 minutes and wasn’t really trying but stopped anyway and walked the 2k home. Don’t know when the next run will be as living in a dormitory village while nice has the problem that from 5pm until 10pm people are returning from work and as I leave for work at 6:30 there is not enough light or footpaths for safety’s sake in the morning.

Hi you...I wondered where you had got to :)

Very well done getting out there for an Irishprincess jogette..you had a late start then :)

It is throwing it down here.... I am wet :) You run sounds to have been lovely! Could you not invest in a head torch.. for the next runs ?

Have thought about that but the village is bracketed by two roads used as rat runs by people go to Saffron Walden and Finchingfield but I do have a safe option which is the playing field which I might use.

Well done... could you get a headtorch perhaps?

The problem I have is the village has two roads used as rat runs so my safe option is to use the sports field which would be as dull as ditch water.

Can you not just run by the light of your halo?😉

Similar situation here, have to run along huge fast road to get to tiny unlit country lanes; got myself a fluorescent jacket, a head torch and a chest and back light, plus some fluorescent strips for my arms and legs! Feel like a right ninny but I am finding that cars are treating me much better on the smaller lanes, slowing right down and giving me a lot of space so it's worth it as I must be visible!

So yeah, running dressed as a Christmas tree rocks!!!
