From week 4 to racing... Not my brightest idea!

I have been trying to follow the couch to 5k for a while now but have only been managing to run max 1 time per week (!) so only completed week 4. I have hip bursitis that seems to flair up whenever I do more... I have, however been working out at the gym two more times per week.

I had signed up for a race last weekend a while ago thinking I would be ready and decided to "race" I managed to run the first 2k then walked the next 1.5k and run the last 1.5k. It was not my brightest idea but in the last 500m even though I so wanted to quit, I forced myself and felt really proud!!!

Well done for getting through your event. You have every right to feel proud. I hope your hip held up afterwards. It is a journey you are on and if your body is happy only running once a week then that is fine. You certainly will not be alone in taking longer than the 9 weeks to complete the program. I took longer myself but four years on I am still running. 😀🏃‍♀️
