Well I posted yesterday that I can't get by running for 30 mins and that was enough. So got up this morning was out of the house for 6.am . Put my audible book on and decided to try slowing down my pace which is on average 11.46 m.p.h. that's what I did and guess what I did 5k . My average pace was 12.13 m.p.h so quite a bit slower but even after I'd done the distance I could have kept going . Now I know my happy pace an I really enjoyed it . So from 31 mins running I was running for 38 . I know it's slow ,but I've done it . When I graduated 4 years ago i did 5ks in 34 mins but I am working on it. Would you keep doing 5ks at my newly found pace 3 times a week now? Or just 5k for once a week and two thirty mins ., I don't want to get injured . Thanks in advance for any advise &Happy and safe running to you all
5k : Well I posted yesterday that I can't get by... - Couch to 5K

Keep going Rockette.
I think your measurements need a bit of clarification.
If you really are running at a blistering 11.46mph and then slow down to an even faster 12.13mph then you have actually got faster..........
I suggest that you meant a pace of 11.46minutes per mile and 12.13min/mile rather than a speed.
Well done on getting there.
Personally, I would mix it up a bit and find at least one run that you run at a very easy pace and maybe another when you push your pace, not worrying whether you reach 5k. The most important thing is to carry on enjoying your running and playing about a bit puts you in control.
keep running, keep smiling.
Great news Rockette...5k at a good comfortable pace😊
Not as quick as you have managed years ago..but this is now..and you did it.
I think lannodatruffe has given you great advice about mixing up the runs a bit, and will wait to see what you tell us next😆😉
Happy running.x
