Thanks for all the support yesterday when I was really feeling down at the thought of being suddenly plunged into deafness.
Mr R. has been fab and took me to Westbury yesterday afternoon where we completed a 5k walk taking in the white horse, the quaint a beautiful St Giles Church with it's lovely flights of cobbled steps and some gorgeous countryside (as well as the MoD inner firing range - which Mr R was more interested in than me, it has to be said). It was a lovely blowy walk and as I don't usually walk with headphones in I was able to forget about my ear.
The walking, along with several sets of stabilisation exercises has helped with my balance , and this morning I have got some limited hearing back in my one hearing ear. So I'm feeling much more positive.
In fact I just took myself on a Blue Plaque walking tour of Calne , another beautiful town in Wiltshire and I'm smiling.
Hopefully I'll get another tourist run in tomorrow morning (planning to go to Bradford on Avon as there is a nice country park between the river and the canal) and hopefully I'll be able to hear some of my tunes if I turn my phone up to the max.
Thanks again all. X
