Brilliant Bowood

Mr R has recently started a job in Chippenham, despite us living in Bedfordshire, so this week I took pity on him and decided to accompany him so that he wouldn't have lonely evenings spent in a hotel room. And what a treat I had yesterday running round the grounds that the hotel is set in, including the beautiful Bowood House with its Capability Brown gardens. Managed 8k and it was only slow because I kept stopping to take photos. 📷

Firstly, well done on an 8k run. I am only on week 3 so that's an incredible distance to someone like me. Well done.

I live about half an hour from bowood and you're right, it's lovely. Despite living here for 9 years I only visited it for the first time a few years ago and was amazed to find somewhere like that pretty much on my doorstep. If you fancy venturing ever so slightly further afield then Castle Coombe is also very pretty

We will hopefully be renting a house in Melksham, so when I'm visiting I shall be looking for nice places to run. 😀

Mr R is renting a house just outside Melksham in Shurnhold now. I'm really enjoying visiting and exploring Wiltshire. We went for a circular walk at Castle Coombe yesterday which was a treat.

Starting a club sounds like a good idea. 😀

This is really spooky because just this morning I said to my hubby, " we should go and visit Bowood House"! It's not that far from us and we've never been.
