Guess what?? I just ran for 8 minutes, and then another 8 minutes! I was worried about the step up from 5 minutes, but you know, it was fine. I felt like I could have kept going, which is handy because next run, I'll have to!
The new trainers, pic attached, are great. I thought my old ones were fine, but these are so much more comfortable and supportive.
Thanks for all the support thus far, you've all been great. I am starting to love the feeling in my legs afterwards
Anyone doubting the programme, it really does work, you can do it!!!
Nought wrong with your legs. These legs are taking you far. And ninja running shoes look fab!
So pleased you found this run even easier! I love the longer runs now. They feel miraculous. We are getting fitter. Now, start getting excited about R3 cos it's a beauty.
I feel pathetic, but it's all good cos it means I can justify lolling around on the couch all day with my nose in a book. Roast dinner later followed by early night and I will be fit as a flipping fiddle tomorrow. 😀 Thank you for asking! You're a pal.
No, it really wasn't so bad. I think it's more a mental battle actually. And for the next one, I shall remind myself that I felt I could keep going after the 8 minutes
This program is great, and I'm so glad, not only that I got my butt in gear and started this, but also for the amazing support. You all rock!!!
Oh, and the longer runs are very welcome after the shorter ones. That really surprised me actually...

Sounds like you could be a natural ☺

Ha! Never thought I'd be called a natural regarding anything remotely sporty!! But it has been easier than I'd hoped, coming from doing no exercise to running for 8 minutes (20 tomorrow!) as I keep saying though, I'm not dead yet... thanks for your encouragement, it's much appreciated.
Nice shoes...I need to get new ones but no idea where to start so will just go and be advised?!! Well done on the 8 mins...see what were you worried about smashed it!! 😜
I didn't need to worry, you're right, but then again, I am a born worrier!!
Re. The shoes, I am no expert, but if you can find a friendly local sports shop who can advise, that's probably best, which what I did. Apparently some do gait analysis, but I couldn't find one...
Really? Awww thanks! And glad you like the trainers good luck for Tuesday, though I'm sure you won't need it. I'm doing w5r3 on Tuesday... let's see if I'm still alive lol!
Loving the new trainers and your enthusiasm - you're doing fabtastically! The fact that you're enjoying the longer runs is proof that you're ready for 20mins tomorrow. Just don't let those nifty shoes take you too fast - slow and steady is the only way to go .... 😄
You are very welcome! Meant to write fantastically but somehow it came out fabtastic - sums up the effect this programme is having on us, don't you think?!
