Had to stop twice to get rid of the snot and phlegm from this awful cold - completed the time but struggled and lost two minutes inbetween so not claiming it. Shouldn’t have set off really but us Yorkshire lasses won’t be told will we😢😢

🙁 Aw, Debbie - I know how you feel. I had a "bad" run this morning because of a cold. Totally wish I had waited another day now. However, you did run, and this will all add to the stamina you are building, so it was certainly not a wasted effort at all! We are determined, eh?

Now. Today you must rest up totally. Drink lots of water and if it's your thing, hot tea, lemsip etc. Rest up until your cold is much better. And your next run will be lovely. This is my mantra today:

My next run will be lovely

Be kind to yourself

My next run will be lovely

Be kind to yourself

(Repeat 5 times)

Take care, Debbie. x

I think that's good advice Sadie, isn't it?! Know anyone else who went for a run when they should have been in bed?? :P

Ha ha! It DOES have medicinal purposes! Hmmm now I'm thinking whisky, hot water, honey for tonight. 🥃 😋

Vicks rub and nasal spray clear those airwaves,

Treat the Run as a interim Run while you clear up the cold.

Not just any old cold then , a real humdinger by the sounds of it. So take a couple of days out and do another one, when hopefully you're a little less poorly. but well done for being a gritty Yorkshire lass...

What is it with you Yorkshire lasses and running whilst ill ??? But very very well done for completing the run, you are doing great!

Claim it please -- there are no C25K police and the next run will be better!!! Struggling is totally ok.
