Thank you all for your support. I "ran" the 5k. I actually stopped to walk 3 times. Total time was 50.03 mins and I walked for a total of 10 mins. Old Floss was with me for the slow & steady and so was IannodaTruffe when I apologised for breaking the 10% rule. There were new challenges and one part that I just could not run was uphill with a significant camber, in the full sun, on wet grass and with the wrong music (running playlist would not go grr). However in the shade, on the path with the right music, I felt like a runner and the hill was OK, even got up a bit of speed (well those walking stopped overtaking me). My left ankle is not happy and rather swollen, as I did push myself but I am telling me it was a good cause and I will recover. Next run will be a gentle 30 mins.
The team is the Faltering Footsteps and we went from the run to our local pub, The Falerting Fullback.

it sounds like you pushed it, up hills too and other challenges, for a great cause! Really happy to see this post. I hope the ankle calms down and you can get gently back to it soon.
Well done!! 🎉🎉 rest up and. Let your ankle recover.
Well done! You all look very happy and finishing with a run to the pub sounds like just the ticket. This was your original goal I think? So BIG congratulations
Congratulations! I love your determination you've done amazingly well, mind that ankle and hope that it's ok.... maybe a couple of extra rest days are in order
